The Brightwell Phosphat-E is a liquid phosphate remover that starts to strip reactive phosphate the moment it hits the aquarium. The product binds the free form of phosphate into a particulate that mechanical filtration and the protein skimmer then export from the system. Safe for the inhabitants of a fish-only marine tank as well as a reef aquarium stocked with corals and invertebrates.
Each millilitre removes 1 ppm of phosphate from 4 US gal (15.14 L) of water — a 250 mL bottle treats up to 1,000 US gal (3,785 L). Brightwell claims a potency more than 50 % higher than most competing phosphate removers.
